Large packs of Top Grade European CDC feathers contain approximately 160 feathers. These feathers (also known as Cul De Canard) come from the preening gland area of ducks, they contain a natural oil that gives them a natural floatation unique to these types of feathers. They are cold dyed from white feathers to preserve the feathers natural structure and produces vibrant and consistent colors. CDC is unmatched as a winging material on emerger flies but has many other uses, it can be added to hackle and deer hair wings, wound as a body material or chopped and combined with dubbing. A must-have material for serious fly tyers.
